Biography

I joined HKU’s Department of Sociology in 2022, and I have been a lecturer at CUHK’s Department of Anthropology since 2019. I conducted two long-term ethnographies on internal and international migrants in Guangdong province. My work has focused on migrants’ space, the dyad privilege/discrimination, urban planning, and the mentality of governing. My current research projects are based in Hong Kong, one about ethnic minorities’ spaces and another about patterns of body movement and a developing fitness trend.
