Biography

Qian Li is a full-time PhD student at HKU sociology. She received her bachelor degree at Sun Yat-sen University and her master degree at Tsinghua University, both in sociology. Her current interest focuses in media and culture, online communities and social interaction.

In her PhD study, she wants to explore the possible sociality of online fan communities and what will it breed when media and technology development encounters with contradictory individualization in China.
